The Protagonists:
AKAME
Akame (Name meaning/translation: Red eyes or bloodshot eyes)
Gender: Male
Specie: Quilava
Personality: Before the destruction of his home route, Akame was a cheerful and playful Quilava. But now that everything he had is gone, he is forced to grow up fast and becomes serious. Now he is often quiet, doesn't like to play, is temperamental and can get emotional at times.
Story: Akame was the son of Mushashi and Megumi, he had lived with them and his siblings in Route 36. While playing with his brothers and sisters, he had accidentally set a bush aflame and it somehow spread, causing The Great Route Fire. Akame managed to escape and hide safely, but his home, family and friends were all destroyed. He now thinks that he is a cause of the fire as he was the one who set the bush aflame. But now there is no time for grieving, he now must find a new home and survive the troubles that Johto faces.
Akame was also the one who happened to discover Shouta and his Murkrows attacking Haruka. At first Akame wanted nothing to do with the Pikachu, but ended up fighting the Murkrows and killing most of them after they had threatened to eat him too. In the end, he saved Haruka and she decided that she would travel with Akame to find a new home together, much to his annoyance.

HARUKA
Haruka (Name meaning/translation: Far away, referring that Kanto is a far away place.)
Gender: Female
Specie: Pikachu
Personality: Haruka is a caring and polite Pokemon. She hates to
fight more than anything else, and often gets in trouble because of that.
Instead of fighting, she prefers to settle things in other ways. Although
she is a bit of a coward and prefers to hide or run, she cares very deeply
for her friends. She often worries about Akame's well-being the most.
Story: Haruka orginally lived with a pack of Pikachu and Pichu in Kanto's Viridian Forest. However when Rattata moved in and began to extremely overpopulate the woods, the pack along with Haruka were forced to migrate to find a new home. Before they left, Haruka decided to bring an acorn from the forest. This acorn would remind her of fond memories of the forest, so she swore to herself never to eat it. But during the migration, the pack was often being attacked and since Haruka hates fighting, suggested that next time they reasoned or retreat from the foe. By doing so, the pack lost more and more of its members. Eventually the pack could no longer stand Haruka and banished her from her own pack. Heartbroken, Haruka left to find her new home on her own, still holding onto her acorn.
Eventually she was chased by a flock of Murkrow, led by Shouta the Honchkrow,
who all wanted to eat her. She kept running away, refusing to fight and eventually
found her way into Johto. Akame later discovered her being pecked by the Murkrows who
also decided to threaten to eat him too, Akame defeated them all and saved
Haruka's life. Much to Akame's annoyance, Haruka decided to travel with him
to find a new home together.

MOSU
Mosu (Name meaning/translation: To burn. Name is literally supposed to be 'Moss')
Gender: Male
Specie: Growlithe
Personality: A brave Growlithe and a fearless leader of his trio
pack. Although prone to quickly become down whenever a crisis happens,
he will eventually regain his normal emotions and try to not the let the
past affect him.
Story: Mosu is the leader, e.g. Alpha, of a small pack of three Growlithes. They used to live in Route 36 but after their home was destoryed by a fire, they had to wander the earths of Johto to find a new home.

AKATORA
Akatora (Name meaning/translation: Red tiger, refering to his pelt.)
Gender: Male
Specie: Growlithe
Personality: Loyal and obeying, but also not afraid to take on the
world alone even without his pack members by his side. He doesn't just
stick to one leader - he will obey a new leader if he joins a new pack.
But this doesn't mean that he would ever like having a Pokemon trainer.
Story: Akatora is the second Growlithe of Mosu's trio pack, and also best friends with him. They used to live in Route 36 but after their home was destroyed by a fire, they had to wander the earths of Johto to find a new home.
Once Akatora saw Kurojaki and Gaki burning Route 36 and tried to stop them, but it costed him his muzzle's skin and nose and left his muscle exposed. He is now unable to smell anything, which is the supposed best trait of a Growlithe.

The Antagonists:
KUROJAKI
Kurojaki (Name meaning/translation: Black jackal or black devil)
Gender: Male
Specie: Umbreon
Personality: Kurojaki is a ruthless Pokemon and his strengths
are known far and wide in Johto. Many Pokemon describe him as being bloodthirsty,
venegful and corrupted. His past is shrouded in mystery however.
Story: It is said that Kurojaki has many strengths behind his
back, yet everything about him and even his past is shrouded in mystery.
His story shall be revealed in later chapters.

GAKI
Gaki (Name meaning/translation: Can mean brat or ghoul, ghoul is the intended meaning)
Gender: Male
Specie: Haunter
Personality: Although a bit of coward at times, he tries his
best to be fearless. He is also loyal to his Master, Kurojaki.
Story: Supposedly a helper of Kurojaki. He helped Kurojaki burn
down Route 36. He doesn't have much of a past.

The Minor Characters:
MUSHASHI
Mushashi (Name meaning/translation: Out burned strength)
Gender: Male
Specie: Typhlosion
Personality: A powerful ruler of Route 36, yet also caring and
loving of his family. He only wants the best for his children, and is
even willing to die for them.
Story: Mushashi is the ruler of Route 36, he makes sure that
all of the Pokemon live there are kept in order, follow his law and
keep peace. He is the father of Akame and his siblings.

MEGUMI
Megumi (Name meaning/translation: Goddess)
Gender: Female
Specie: Typhlosion
Personality: A careful and patient Pokemon, Megumi loves her
family and especially her children very much. Many Pokemon say that
she is very forgiving and is very kind to everyone including strangers.
Story: Megumi is the mate of Mushashi and mother of Akame and his
siblings. Although not having as much power as Mushashi does in her home
route, she does have her strengths in other areas.

SABURO
Saburo (Name meaning/translation: Third son, but this doesn't mean he is related to Mosu and Akatora)
Gender: Male
Specie: Growlithe
Personality: Ever loyal and obeying, he will do whatever Mosu
commands him of.
Story: Sabruo is the third Growlithe of Mosu's trio pack, and
also best friends with him. They used to live in Route 36 but after their
home was destoryed by a fire, they had to wander the earths of Johto
to find a new home.

SHOUTA (Possibly dead)
Shouta (Name meaning/translation: To soar, or fly)
Gender: Male
Specie: Honchkrow
Personality: Since Shouta led a flock of Murkrow, he often sends
them to do all of their work. During a battle, he prefers that they fight
and not he, thus labeling him a coward. He also gets very angry easily.
Story: Shouta had led a flock of Murkrow. One day in Kanto, they
saw Haruka and decided that they were going to eat her, so they had chased
her all the way to Johto. Eventually Akame had discovered them attacking
the Pikachu. Since Akame had probably seen too much for his own good, Shouta
threatened to eat him too. He sent his Murkrows after him, but many of
them died to Akame's unusually strong Embers. The other Murkrows flew away
in fear, leaving Shouta alone. He tried to defeat Akame on his own, but
got his back and chest badly injured.
If died, how: After Shouta admitted defeat, he weakly walked away
and that is the last you'll ever see him. Whether he lived or bled to death is
up to you.
